2017 to present Funded Programs:

2022:

1/ Rapid Response Engagement and Testing: (2022 COVID-19: Community Response Fund: Stream
We are passionate to deliver engagement activities to support communities to self-manage and live safely with COVID. Project Activities include:
• Engagement calls or texts to provide information about managing COVID at home, including how to use and report results of RAT tests.
• Development and dissemination of digital content for Living with COVID.
• Supporting community members to access relevant financial supports available to them.
• Relevant, innovative and accessible engagement activities related to testing/COVIDSafe behaviours/managing COVID at home, including 2 educational videos, etc.

2/ Warm Heart Social Recovery Support for Chinese Community Program This target groups of the project are the Chinese community members including women, new migrants, senior citizens and vulnerable people who were in disproportionally impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic with services and activities that support social and economic recovery.


i/ Health Access Support:
a/ Hotline Services for booking Medical or Centrelink appointments.
-Make medical appointments for the needy
b/ Economic recovery assistance Support:
Assist people to access Economic recovery services such as Centrelink Access or interpreting in their interviews.
ii/ Social Support groups – Tai Chi , Singing Group and Walking Group:
iii/ Seminars/ workshops
iv/ Regular Internet Training Workshops for Seniors
v/ Social Media Promotion: Information for where to get help

3/ Hearts in Hands in Manningham, Family Violence Free for Women


The aims of the project are to raise greater understanding of family violence in the Chinese community and address how we can collectively identify and prevent it from happening, as a result to build a safer and more resilient community.

Project activities include Hotline, Personal Support, Media Promotion, Activities and Seminars for women and their families.

4/ Warm Hearts for Golden Ageing in Manningham


This is an extension project of Golden Ageing - Friendly Manningham without Elderly Abuse Program II, is to roll out a series of activities to response the issues of elderly abuse in Manningham’s community. Special emphasize is to build on the growing body of knowledge on the complex and sometimes hidden issue of elder abuse in placed and also address the possible impact of COVID in relation to this social issue.

2/ Golden Ageing - Friendly Manningham without Elderly Abuse Program II

Throughout the hard time in 2020, CHFA has supported over 300 residents through its Community Seminars, Support Groups, Training and support hotline through Online or face-to- face contacts amid the Covid-19 Pandemic. To continue the positive impact, the Phase II of the project is anticipated to roll out a series of activities to response the issue of elderly abuse in Manningham’s community. Special emphasize will be placed to address the possible impact of COVID in relation to this social issue.

3/ Smart Crime Prevention and Good Neighborhood in Manningham

The Porject is to provide Manningham residents the ways and tips to secure their home safely and encourage them to establish a harmonious neighborhood in the community through our activities , including: community Seminars and Educational Video.

4/ Australians, Let Us All Be One, With Peace and Harmony

The purpose of the Project is to foster a clear conception in the Australian community of what racism is, and how it can be prevented and reduced.

Project Activities include:

Seminars, Multicultural Group Visitations, Online Education Workshops, Community Leader Connections, Media Promotion with an Educational Video and a Multicultural Harmony Feast Day.
